Yes! Bark Park Inn is proud to say that our new booking management system, Gingr, has an app that is compatable with both Apple and Android phones. Just download the "Gingr for Pet Parents" app from your phone's play store and input our facility code: 486950
You'll now be able to access your customer portal at any time!
Return customers already have a customer account created with our new booking system, but must reset their password before logging in for the first time. To do this, click the "Existing Customer Login" button from our home page, then click the blue "Reset Password" link on the customer portal, located just above the login button. You will be redirected to another page where you can enter your email address.
If you attempt to login too many times without resetting your password first you will be locked out of your account. If this happens, please contact Bark Park Inn so we can manually send a password reset email.
This is normal; it means we have accepted the reservation and assigned your pet a kennel for their stay. Approximately 1 week before your pet is scheduled to stay with us you'll receive an email or text message asking you to confirm if you still need the reservation or if you need to cancel. This helps us as a business reduce the number of same day cancellations and no-shows.
All vaccine information that is submitted must be reviewed and input by Bark Park Inn staff; it is not automatically uploaded into your pet's profile. Once our staff have reviewed the information provided we'll send you an email letting you know if the vaccines are up to date or if updates are still required. **VACCINE INFORMATION SUBMITTED THE NIGHT BEFORE CHECK-IN MAY NOT BE REVIEWED BEFORE YOU ARRIVE WITH YOUR PET. PLEASE UPLOAD ALL VACCINE INFORMATION WELL IN ADVANCE OF CHECK-IN TO PREVENT ANY DELAYS.**
You can drop-off any time between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday and between 9am-4pm on Saturday. You can pick-up any time between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday or 9am-4pm on Saturday. We offer an early check-out discount between 9am-12pm. We are closed to the public on Sundays.
Customers or veterinary offices can email vaccine records to barkparkinn@shot.pet or customers can upload vaccine information directly through their account in the customer portal.
Owners are recommended to bring their pet’s regular food and any medications they need. We have bowls for both food and water so please do not bring those unless your pet has an aversion to drinking/eating out of metal or a medical condition that requires a specific type of bowl. If your pet needs a slow feeder bowl we do have those available. We ask that customers limit the items brought with their pet to 1 bedding item and 1 toy; excess items will be returned at check-in. Please do not bring anything that is a beloved favorite as we cannot guarantee items won’t be damaged or lost. All items brought with your pet must be machine washer and dryer safe; if we cannot wash the item we cannot guarantee it will be returned to you clean.
We don’t allow dogs to have the following toys or treats in their kennels:
· Rawhide, no-hide, or other hide style chews as they can be a choking or blockage risk even with the best of supervision
· Rope toys as they can become a choking or blockage risk if pieces are torn off
· Balls of any kind as they can block our drainage system
· Toys small enough to be ingested as they are a choking or blockage risk
Dogs with a history of destroying toys or blankets will not be allowed to have these items in their kennel for safety purposes.
We always recommend making your pet’s reservation as soon as you know what dates you’ll need to board them. We can never guarantee last minute availability during any season, so scheduling your pet’s reservation at least 3-4 weeks in advance is highly recommended. If you will be boarding during a peak season (spring break, summer, holidays) we recommend making your reservation 6-8 weeks in advance.
Our small dog kennels are 4ft by 3ft with a 3.5ft high ceiling. Our large dog kennels are 4ft by 3.5ft with no ceiling. All kennels have indoor/outdoor access to a private 14ft long exterior run. If your dogs will not be comfortable sharing a kennel, or they are extra large dogs, we recommend boarding in separate, side-by-side kennels. We have a limited number of double-wide large dog kennels for giant breed dogs.
Our cat kennels are 3.5ft by 3ft. We also have double kennels that can house 2 cats from the same family or extra large cats.
**DOUBLE KENNELS ARE USED AT STAFF DISCRESSION ONLY AND CANNOT BE REQUESETED BY CUSTOEMRS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.**
All dogs must be 4 months of age or older and fully vaccinated for rabies, distemper, and bordetella. We do not accept new canine clients 13 years of age or older, or those who are dog aggressive/reactive or human aggressive. We do not accept the following breeds for boarding:
· Wolf or wolf-hybrid of any content
· Great Dane
· Formosan Mountain Dog
All cats must be 4 months of age or older and fully vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP. We do not accept new feline clients 13 years of age or older. We do not accept cats that are FIV or FeLV positive.
While many dogs enjoy the social interaction of group play, just as many dogs don’t enjoy the social interaction of group play or are more selective about who their canine friends are. Here at Bark Park Inn we respect that dogs are individuals and not all of them want that social interaction. As such we have decided not to offer group play at Bark Park Inn.
Play time is 15 or 30 minutes one-on-one with a staff member. Both services can be done in our play yards or in our office and we make our decision based on the energy level and personality of the dog. Higher energy or larger dogs typically go into our play yards with staff to try and burn off some of that energy, while lower energy or smaller dogs often come into our office for quieter play or to hang out with staff. Some lower energy dogs prefer to be in the play yards and explore, some higher energy dogs like taking a break to just chill in the office; ultimately we let your dog set the pace. We don’t do play time on the day a dog checks in so they have time to adjust to their surroundings. We also don’t do play time on the last day of boarding.
Our first line of defense against extreme heat or cold is to keep the dogs inside where it’s temperature controlled with regular potty breaks throughout the day. We have air conditioner units and industrial fans for when it’s hot and a heater system for when it’s cold. During extreme weather we may forego a dog’s play time as the temperature outside may be unsafe or the rainfall too intense.
No, we do not have a required waiting period between when a vaccine is given and when the pet checks in.
